Sequel Syrah 2007, Columbia Valley, WA - $50

Had this wine with dinner at JG and MG's. It is a blend of 98% Syrah and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, and contains 14.7% alcohol. It's very highly-rated: Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and International Wine Cellar rated it 93, while The Wine Advocate gave it 92. It retails online for $50/bottle.

This wine consistently scores in the low to mid 90s on an annual basis. The winemaker, John Duval, was previously with Penfolds, a winery famous for their Syrahs.

Aroma - dry red and black fruit
Taste - dry red and black fruit, dark cocoa, soft tannins, dry

So nice!!! Perfect with grilled salmon!
