Aroma - dark fruit and spice
Taste - dark fruit, slight licorice, little spice, moderate tannins, dark cocoa finish

I purchased this wine at the Austin Wine Merchant where it usually retails for $24.99 - it was on sale for $16.99. It is 100% Pinot Noir.

Aroma - minerals and fruit
Taste - soft red fruit, minerals, dry, beautiful and well-balanced

I love this wine!

This wine is a blend of 40% Carignan and 35% Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. It retails for $14.99 at the Austin Wine Merchant, but I purchased it on sale there for $9.99.

Aroma - dark fruit, spice
Taste - dark fruit, tobacco, moderate to strong tannins, dark cocoa finish

I really like this wine, even more so now than when I opened it yesterday!

I purchased this wine at Costco for $12.99. It is a blend of 50% Merlot, 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Cabernet Franc. Wine Enthusiast rates it 85 points.

Aroma - dark fruit and spice
Taste - dark fruit, black tea, strong tannins, dark cocoa finish

A good wine for the price. Simple, drinkable.

JB brought this wine to share during dinner last night. She received it from the Williams-Sonoma Wine Club - the retail price is $20 online. It's made of 50% Graciano, 25% Tempranillo, and 25% Garnacha.

Aroma - red fruit, hot (14% alcohol)
Taste - dark fruit, woody, leathery, strong tannins

A nice wine.

I purchased this wine for $20/bottle at Whole Foods. It is a blend of Pinot Noir from three coastal areas - 57% from Monterrey County, 23% from Santa Barbara County, and 20% from Sonoma County.

Aroma - red fruit, wood, spice
Taste - red fruit, wood, light spice, dry, moderate tannins

This wine is a bit heavier and woodier than I prefer. I like several Pinot Noirs at a similar or lower price point better than this one.

Also had this wine at EG and AG's. It is an Italian Barbera from Asti, which is part of the Piedmont region.

Aroma - red and dark fruit
Taste - tart fruit, a little wood, moderate to strong tannins

Okay, but not sure I'd buy it in the future.
