Cecile Chassagne Vacqueyras 1999, Southern Rhone, France - $12.99

We found this wine in my mom's pantry - she's not sure where she got it. The wine, being from the Vacqueyras AOC, is a blend of Grenache and Syrah. The 2004 vintage was sold for $12.99 by K&L Wines.

The color is very brown, almost like Coca Cola or coffee, and the wine tastes better than it smells. Wines from this region are usually GSM blends.

Aroma - prunes
Taste - cooked fruit, dry, moderate tannins

It's okay - probably past its prime. D thought it tasted like prune juice.
