Quality Meats, near Central Park, New York

We were famished after our tour at the World Trade Center Memorial (gorgeous, by the way - go if you can). This was our first night in NYC, and Quality Meats did not disappoint!

The wine we chose was the Robert Sinskey Aries Pinot Noir 2006, Carneros, CA - $55
This wine is organic and retails for $55/bottle at the restaurant.
Aroma - bright cherries, earthy
Taste - bright cherries, earthy, dry, nice minerality

We drank a couple of bottles of this wine throughout dinner, which started with bread sprinkled with rosemary and sea salt. Yum! Next came small bites compliments of the chef - mission figs with creme brûlée topping.

I then shared a Local Farmer's Salad with D, and my main course was Black Sea Bass - absolutely superb food, and great with the wine!

Others in our group had the Roasted Chicken, Seared Three Filets, Pork Chop, and Bone-in Rib Steak.

Sides included Corn Crème Brûlée and Gnocchi and Cheese.

Dessert was Sticky Toffee Pudding and Coconut Flan. We rolled back to the W Midtown stuffed to our satisfaction!
