Simply Naked Unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, California - $9.99

The great thing about this winery is that all of their wines are unoaked. Whether you prefer oak or not, you have to admit that this is quite a brave move especially as fruity Napa Cabs currently rule the mass market wine world and oak is heavily featured in a lot of those wines.

I wanted to love this wine, but I actually only liked it. It tasted of red and dark fruit and strong tannins, and that's it. Not a lot of complexity or interest. It's a good wine for the price, which is $9.99/bottle at Whole Foods.
