La Granacha Signargues 2009, Côtes du Rhône Villages, France - $14

This was the second of four wines I tasted tonight during driveway drinking at Royal Blue. It is made from 100% old vines Grenache and is produced by Domaine Andézon. It was rated 90 points by Wine Advocate and retails for $14/bottle online.

Again, the person at the next table was smoking so I wasn't able to make notes about the bouquet. I tasted red fruit, wood, vanilla, and moderate to strong tannins. I liked the first wine better. This wine was fine paired with the artisanal crackers and cheeses.
