Norton Privada 2007, Mendoza, Argentina - $18

This Argentinian wine was a gift from my brother and his wife, and is a blend of 40% Malbec, 30% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was rated 92 points by Wine Spectator and 90 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and the Wine Enthusiast. It retails for $18 online and at Costco, I believe.

Aroma - dark fruit, jammy
Taste - sharp at first (acid?), dark fruit, nice smooth sweet tobacco finish, soft to moderate tannins

Nice wine - a little high on the alcohol content, but that could be because it was aged for 16 months in new French oak. But it doesn't taste hot, so I like it and would absolutely get it in the future!
