Château Lamy Corbières Millésimé 2005, Corbières, France - $9

This French wine is a blend of 35% Carignan, 35% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 15% Mourvèdre, and retails for $9/bottle at Western Beverages.

Aroma - black currant, a little hot, olives
Taste - black currant, grape stems, moderate tannins, a little wood and olives on the finis

This wine was interesting - it's not my favorite, and I think that it would be a little challenging for most wine-drinkers. It may fare better accompanied by food.

Just FYI - "millésimé" means "vintage."

Update - November 12, 2010
I really don't prefer this wine's bouquet. It tastes fine, but the aroma can be off-putting.
