Château d'agel 2006, Minervois, France - $24

Had this wine at Mulberry during dinner with friends. It retails for $24/bottle there. I can't find the varietal composition for the 2006 vintage, but both the 2008 and 2009 are 40% Old Vines Carignan (AKA Carignan de vielles vignes), 30% Grenache, and 30% Syrah.

Aroma - minerals, a little barnyard
Taste - dark fruit, minerals, black tea

Tastes better than it smells!
