Redd Napa Valley, Yountville, CA

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Yountville. I much prefer simple, fresh foods without a lot of fuss, and that's exactly what we got at Redd.

You can click on the menu image above to enlarge it.

We were so full of wine and food from our winery visits that we opted for 2 appetizers each for dinner. And NO WINE, if you can believe it! We were just too saturated already!

I had the caramelized diver scallops with cauliflower purée/almonds/balsamic reduction and the yellowfin tuna tartare with asian pear/chili oil/fried rice/cilantro.

D had the carnaroli risotto with maine lobster/meyer lemon confit/truffle oil and the sashimi of hamachi with sticky rice/edamame/lime ginger sauce.

This was my kind of meal, except for the lack of wine!
