St. Supéry Vineyards and Winery, Rutherford, CA - wine tasting

St. Supéry's tasting room is large and crowded! It seems as if it was built for educating visitors, but now there us a sort of lounge on the 2nd floor. Our host's name was Scott (on the right).

Finally a wine that is better than okay - I like it!

St. Supéry Dollarhide Cabernet Sauvignon 2000, Napa Valley, CA - $120
This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Dollarhide Ranch.

Aroma - prunes
Taste - dark fruit, dark chocolate, full-bodied, strong tannins, cloves, long finish

This wine is a yes, and is probably this interesting because it's been aged 10 years.

Liked some of the wines, and some were just okay. The best part about this winery in addition to the wines I liked is that it is dog-friendly!
