Ridge 2007, Geyserville, California - $29.99



This red blend was the fifth of five wines we tasted today at the Austin Wine Merchant, and is made from 58% Zinfandel, 22% Carignane, 18% Petite Sirah, and 2% Mataró. Geyserville is located at the Western edge of Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, just northwest of Healdsburg.

Aroma - fruity, jammy
Taste - minerals, dry, moderate tannins

Wine Spectator and Connoisseurs Guide rated this wine a 91.
