Joseph Drouhin White 2008 Saint-Véran, Burgundy, France - $13.75

This was the second of five wines we tasted at the Austin Wine Merchant today. It's a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay grapes. I'm not crazy about American Chardonnay, but this French Chard was pretty good.

Aroma - creamy (Mel thought clean)
Taste - the pourer told us that she thought it was minerally (Mel said crystalline, JS said velvety)

This wine definitely didn't turn me completely off like Chards usually do. I think I'll have to try it with food to be sure!
