Purchased a glass of this Sonoma County Pinot Noir at Violet Crown Cinemas tonight - it retails there for $7/glass and $26/bottle. On the winery's website, a bottle retails for $19. Not a bad markup for a restaurant/bar setting.
Aroma - cherry candy, a little soapy (could be the detergent used in the glass - this evaporated after about 10 minutes)
Taste - black cherries, black tea, soft tannins
A good wine - food friendly. I had it with a Margherita pizza and a Mediterranean platter (a dolmah, hummus, tabouleh, babaganoush, and toasted pita triangles.
